Deliyra led a very privileged life in a well-off Erudite family. That was until "the powers that be" decided she should work for her living. Inducted into the Enchanter class, as there really was no other choice for her, Deliyra has a long-held distain for most of the fellow inhabitants of Norrath. She would prefer to spend her time in learned company, or on a pleasant cushion with a good book.

However, that was not to be her lot in life. She has found some kindred company in the at least passably civil Koada'dal Cleric, Merodd. However, she found that for her class to be truly successful, one must be in the presence of others, and many times those others consist of the unwashed, unlearned and uncouth variety.

On the brighter side, she met with another Erudite, Dartien, with a bad reputation who ended up funding her jewelcraft and angering her family all in one blow. Revenge was sweet, and the trade from her items has garnered a new lease on her rather dismal life. So she reluctantly allies herself with this little band of adventurers. Much to her own chagrin at times.
